All Environmental Impact Must Be Minimized
Fredriksons is a manufacturing industry whose operations lead to various types of environmental impact. This includes the effects of energy use, different materials, waste, and climate emissions, all of which place a burden on the environment. Our selected measurement areas are waste, energy consumption, and climate emissions. Fredriksons' long-term goal is to minimize all environmental impact by making active, sustainable choices regarding materials, processes, and transportation. Fredriksons actively works towards these goals and sets measurable environmental targets, with results reported annually alongside a plan for how we will continue to reduce our impact on the environment.
Waste
As a manufacturing company, we have an environmental responsibility not only to ensure that our production processes meet the required standards but also to manage what happens to waste materials during manufacturing and to end products when they are no longer in use or have reached the end of their life cycle. Efforts to increase the proportion of waste that is sorted at the source and recycled are ongoing throughout the company. Other activities include training initiatives, procedures for reusing packaging, and digitalization projects aimed at reducing the number of paper printouts.
Climate Emissions
Our manufacturing takes place in our facilities in Sweden and China. Energy production in Sweden comes from renewable sources, contributing to relatively low climate emissions. Our internal meetings, which previously required travel, are now increasingly conducted through digital solutions. For in-person meetings, we coordinate with one another and prioritize more sustainable travel options.
